August 14, 2024

President & CEO Ryan Moore announced today that Drew FitzGerald has joined Behan Communications Inc. as a strategic advisor.  He is an authority on clean tech, clean energy and clean water initiatives and will provide advice and expertise to clients interested in renewable energy, water conservation, housing, technology, and economic development opportunities.

Mark Behan and I have followed his career closely and we admire his accomplishments. We welcome him to our growing firm.”

“I have loved traveling the world and working with international companies and organizations, and I will continue pursuing my work in the areas of clean water and clean energy,” said FitzGerald. “But my home is Glens Falls. I have a lot of respect for Behan Communications, and I want to contribute to the growth and sustainability of the Glens Falls area. I sincerely believe that what we do in Glens Falls can truly change the world for the better.”

For the past 25 years, FitzGerald has worked in New York and Los Angeles helping international brands like Coke, Universal Music Group, Sony Pictures, Columbia Records, GM, Chevrolet, and Land Rover tell stories of brand innovation. He’s promoted recording artists like Mary J. Blige, Calvin Harris, Enrique Igesias, Pharrell Williams, Lionel Richie, Patti LaBelle, and BB King. In 2015, he teamed up with his friends and clients, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and their son Jaden, to co-found JUST Water in his hometown, Glens Falls, N.Y. JUST offers consumers an alternative to plastic bottles of water, successfully creating an international market for fresh Adirondack spring water served in plant-based containers.

FitzGerald founded and still operates Facet Creative, a Los Angeles-based design firm serving the entertainment industry; 501cTHREE, which provides clean drinking water to communities in need; and the Ecosystem Fund, a non-profit that uses charitable donations to fund early-stage start-up companies with promising technologies. He is a founding advisor of The Prime Coalition, a non-profit that steers philanthropic capital to early-stage, clean energy technologies, and an advisor to The Redford Center, founded by Robert and Jamie Redford to cultivate storytelling and advocacy around climate change-related issues. He will continue his work with these organizations.

501cTHREE’s success in bringing clean drinking water to Flint, Michigan, Los Angeles’ Skid Row, Jackson, Mississippi, St. Louis, Newark, and other American communities earned national media attention and a Fast Company magazine Innovation of the Year award for social good. The business advisory firm DeLoitte profiled FitzGerald as part of a series on the creator economy.
