Beyond hydration: JUST water’s mission extends to community building

March 10, 2016

JUST water was founded with the belief that a product could be good for everyone it touches, from its customers to its workers, from the environment to the community where it’s based.

Time Warner Cable News takes a tour of Glens Falls-based JUST water to report on the startup’s efforts, and its unique package — made up of 53 percent paper, which itself comes from responsibly managed forests.

"Our approach is to try and reinvent bottled water from the package out," Jim Siplon, JUST’s chief operating officer, tells Time Warner Cable News.

Siplon adds that the mission extends beyond water.

"We all need water not only to survive,” he tells Time Warner Cable News, “we need water responsibly managed, harvested, brought to market in order for our communities and our economy to thrive. One of the things we want to do is make a contribution to making that even better than it was before we got here.”
