Pat Dowd has extensive experience in website design and organization, using the power of the Internet to connect people, and is a longtime editor and journalist. Working closely with clients, he has managed individual projects, political and marketing campaigns, public relations and communications, and news media relations. In more than 18 years in daily journalism, he served as a senior news executive responsible for writing, editing, strategic planning and project management at four daily newspapers in New York and Alabama. He has won numerous Associated Press awards and was part of management teams that won “best in show” honors at two newspapers. He most recently edited and published a book on the history of Warren County, NY. Pat plays the bagpipes and competes throughout New York and across the Northeast as drum major of the Galloway Gaelic Pipes and Drums in Glens Falls, where he is also secretary and webmaster. He is a model railroad buff and amateur historian. Pat is a member of the Board of the Capital District Celtic Cultural Association in Colonie. A native of the Albany suburb of Loudonville with maternal roots in Fort Edward and the Adirondacks, he and his wife, Julie, have four sons and live in Glens Falls.
